How to upload your packet’s hero image

Every blog in your Complete Deployment Packet includes two images: a hero image (1280×720, 16:9 widescreen — sits at the top of the article and shows when the post is shared on social) and a supporting image (roughly the same size, embedded somewhere in the body).

Where the hero image goes by platform:

  • WordPress: look for "Featured Image" in the right sidebar of the post editor. Click "Set Featured Image" → upload. The theme handles placement.
  • Squarespace: open the blog post → Settings → Thumbnail. The hero auto-displays as the post header.
  • Webflow: in the CMS Collection, your blog template should have a "Main Image" field. Upload there.
  • Wix: Click the post → Settings → Cover Image. Upload there.
  • HubSpot: Blog post editor → Featured Image section near the top.

Three things to check after upload:

  1. Image fully loaded — no broken-image icon
  2. Aspect ratio looks right in preview (1200×628 ≈ widescreen)
  3. Alt text added (see Alt text)

If your CMS isn't here, look for a setting called "featured image," "thumbnail," or "header image" — they all mean the same thing.

Common image issues:

  • Image doesn’t show up after upload — check file size. Many CMSes cap at 2–8 MB; compress with TinyPNG or similar if larger.
  • Wrong aspect ratio in preview — your theme may crop 16:9 differently. Look for a “focal point” or “crop” setting in the image editor.
  • File format rejected — most CMSes want JPG or PNG. iPhone HEIC files often need converting first (Preview.app on Mac, or a free online converter).
  • Blurry or pixelated — the source is likely under-sized. Use the exact packet file, don’t screenshot from the PDF.
